Annual General Meeting
Keeping our customers at the heart of what we do
As a mutual organisation, we really care about what our customers think.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for customers who are eligible members to have their say on how the Society is run, and to help shape the future of our organisation.
What does this involve?
Each year, eligible members of the Society are entitled to vote on resolutions, as well as the election and re-election of directors on the Board.
You don’t have to attend the meeting in person to vote, although you’re very welcome. You can also vote online, by post or at any of our branches.
If you’re already a member, you should have received an AGM pack by post or email (sent to you mid March). This year’s AGM is being held at our Principal Office on Monday 24 April 2017 at 6.30pm. There’s more information at skipton.co.uk/agm.
Would you like to get involved?
If you’re not eligible to vote this year you may be able to take part next year. We’ve included the eligibility criteria below.
- To vote you must be 18 years old, or over, on the date of the AGM – which is usually at the end of April.
- If you have a joint account, you need to be the first name listed on the account in our records.
You also need to:
- Either have at least £100 saved with us at the end of the previous year and have a savings account with us from that date until the official voting date in April OR
- Have a mortgage balance of at least £100 on both the end of the previous year and the official voting date in April.
