Investing your money is typically a medium to longer-term commitment – and we want to make sure that, at every stage of your journey, we’re providing you with an excellent level of service.
This is why we offer the option of our Monitored Informed Investing (MII) proposition – which provides ongoing monitoring and support with your investments along with other benefits.
Here are our seven collectively unique MII promises:
Our aim is to help you achieve your financial goals by investing your money into our MII Core Funds. If we believe any of these funds aren’t meeting expectations, we’ll offer you a Fund Switch and make no additional charge.
MII Quarterly and Annual Reports
We’ll write to you four times a year to keep you updated with the performance of your MII Core Fund investments
Help make sure your investments are tax-efficient.
We’ll help you make the most of your annual ISA allowance. You can invest new funds at the start of the new tax year (April), or we’ll offer you the option of transferring existing investments into an ISA.
Review offer for your MII investments
We’ll offer you a formal review of your MII investments at certain points of your journey. This involves checking they’re performing as expected – to help you meet your financial goals, and to also make sure you’re still comfortable with your chosen risk profile.
It’s important to note that there’s an ongoing charge to pay for the MII service, which means it might not be suitable for everyone. If you require further financial advice in the future you’ll need to pay a further adviser charge.
If you’re happy to pay the ongoing charge to benefit from the range of features – which includes monitoring of your investments and keeping you updated – MII could be right for you.
You’ll be able to access comprehensive online investment information whenever you need it.
Helping your beneficiaries
When you pass away, if your beneficiaries choose to reinvest the proceeds of your MII investments with us, they only have to pay 50% of the initial advicer charges, should they require advice. If they don't want advice, they won't have to pay an initial adviser charges.
Skipton Building Society Branch support

As part of Skipton Building Society, dedicated support is available within each of our branches located across England and Scotland. Alternatively, our Premier Service Team provides telephone-based assistance and support for all MII customers.
